Charles Wesley preached here in 1743 and between them Charles and his brother John preached here over 20 times between 1743 and 1766. On July 25th 1744 Charles notes in his journal, 'I found the bretheren in Morvah beginning to build a Society house. We knelt down upon the place and prayed for a blessing.'
