Wesley probably stayed here. On August 25th 1750 he went to see the landlady, Mrs Morgan, who had complained to the Bishop that he had told her that she was damned already as she did not have a sense of assurance of salvation. He went to challenge her on this but she said over and over again that 'she never saw or knew of any harm by me.'
