Cricklade - Primitive Methodists (1925)



At Cricklade, a town about the same distance from Wootton Bassett as Malmesbury, the missionaries were more successful. Many sinners were awakened under their earnest preaching, and a society was established. But persecution raged here also; so much so, that for a time the members of the society could seldom go out into the streets on their ordinary business without being pelted with stones!
