Graveley - Primitive Methodists (1845)

Gravely was visited in May 1845, and considerable good was effected. Numbers began to flock to the preaching services and became deeply affected under the word. On the 31st of July, Mr Pole preached then to a large assembly, when the whole seemed to be affected by the power of God; several penitents cried aloud for mercy and found redemption through the blood of Jesus. A camp-meeting was held there on the 3rd of August, which was attended by much Divine influence; and it the love-feast held in the evening, seven or eight persons obtained deliverance from the burden of their sins, and others found liberty on their way to their respective houses.
