Hamilton - Congregational Church

This was John Kirk's first church and as soon as he arrived a 'remarkable revival' began. Meetings were held throughout the town on Sabbath evenings by the leading brethren in the church. So many became actively engaged that the evening service in the chapel suffered a little.

The Blackswell Congregational Church was approximately where marked and was built in 1841-2.
