St Magnus Cathedral - Kirkwall, Orkneys (1861)

There have been no extra meetings in Kirkwall this week; but congregational prayer meetings have been held with unusually large attendance. On Wednesday evening prayer meetings were held in the Cathedral and in the Free church and both were well attended, the services being conducted by the ministers. The weekly prayer meeting in the united Presbyterian Church was held on Thursday evening, when there would be 900 or 1000 present and the services were conducted by Mr Paul of Sanday and Dr Peterson. The more private prayer meetings also continue to be well kept up and great interest as manifested in them.
