James Caughey Boston meetings (1846)

From thence he went to Boston, where he wrote, “The devil has met me on the low grounds of Lincolnshire as Napoleon met Wellington on the plains of Belgium. Never have I had such a flailing from the public papers.” The enemy, however, suffered a signal overthrow, and about four hundred were saved. From 'Methodism in Earnest' at www.revival-library.org
