"Feb 18th 1840: Forenoon: Drove out to Stanley in gig... Evening: immense crowd in the spacious church... subject Luke 24:47; more aided than ever on the same subject. A very solemn season; many met me deeply affected as I retired. Walked home to Perth seven miles."
