1794 Cilgeran. John Edwards, Llanddewi Brefi came to speak. Such anointing, people crying, weeping and praising. Extended through neighbourhood [MC ii. 326]

In 1794 154 were added to the church and in 1795 another 100. This required the rebuilding of the church in 1795.
