Congregational Church, Milton Next Gravesend (1878)

A mission service of deeply interesting nature was held in Milton Congregational Church. The attendance at the evening services in the church was very large, and also on the afternoons for Bible readings, in the lecture hall. The two speakers were Mr S. A. Blackwood and Mr R. Owen Hay. The principal firms and tradesmen of the town closed their places of business in order to give their assistants and young people an opportunity of attending the service. The church was very full. The after-meeting for anxious inquirers were largely attended.

"The Christian," March 14th, 1878.
