Penzance (1864)

Here the cause is comparatively young and weak, but our labours were not in vain in the Lord. Our few
praying men worked well and were rewarded by the success which followed. During the first week several were convinced of sin, and one or two obtained salvation. The second Sunday was a most blessed day; the chapel in the evening was full of earnest people; the divine presence was realised; conviction seized many; three men and their wives were weeping before the Lord at the penitent form and some rejoiced in the freedom of the gospel. About twenty people we have reason to hope have been  saved during these services.
