Greenock - Salvation Army (1882)

I am glad to report victory all along the line. The past week has been glorious. We have had over 80 souls for Jesus. Praise the Lord!

Captain Bates is busy looking for a suitable site of ground on which to build a Hall for the operations of the Army in Greenock. He has already received several offers of help in the event of our building. We must make an effort here immediately, as the lease of our present Hall will shortly expire and the progress of the work will be very materially hindered if suitable premises are not found or built.

From, 'The War Cry', October 1882.

This is just one example of what was happening here. More reports can be seen from the War Cry in future months/years.

Additional Information

I do not know where the meetings were held.
