Weston-super-Mare - Salvation Army (1880)

We are having souls every night; over 30 came out for clean hearts at our Holiness meeting. Sunday was a good day. At night the town was turned upside down, and some of our soldiers “boycotted” beer shops. Praise the dear Lord! We wound up with 25 more souls, making over 30 for the day. We are asking the Lord Jesus to take the policemen into custody.

We took command of the station on the 17th of August. Souls every night. All crowded; hundreds cannot get in. We are in great want of a larger place. All day on Sunday, in spite of fierce and continued opposition, God gave us a victory and at the close, 18 souls came to Jesus and were pardoned.
