Starcross (1876)

Mr Buckeridge, of the Evangelisation Society, held a week of meetings here, commencing on March 2. Although, as
there is no public room at Starcross, the meetings were held in the chapel more attended these services than any previous
meetings held in the same building, the same people coming night after night. The two facts principally brought out were, Man's need and Christ'e fullness. Souls were brought out of darkness to Christ the Light. Christians have been much cheered by the work, and are thankful that the glorious old story of the Cross is so plainly and pleasantly put before the people by the agents of the Evangelisation Society. A daily noon prayer meeting was held during the week.

"The Christian," March 23rd, 1876.
