The minister spent nearly four weeks in Ulster checking out the revival.

'there have been many signs of a gracious reviving work in this congregation, which in general is marvellously stirred up, so that fresh vigourous life and anxiety are everywhere visible. Prayer meetings have been multiplied and are numerously attended… Evidently the Holy Spirit is leading souls to Jesus.'
