Kilsyth (1859)



The religious movement is progressing steadily, and a great many are reported to have been converted during the last ten days. If matters continue at this rate it is probable that there will be little need here for a police establishment, as many suspicious characters are already much improved in their walk and conversation, and the Procurator Fiscal informs us that criminal cases are much decreased in number within the last few weeks. —
