Thornliebank (1859)



There are at present sixteen prayer meetings held every week in this village. The young men hold a prayer meeting every morning, in the Old Church, at half-past nine o'clock, and every Sabbath morning in the Infant Schoolroom. meeting is held every Sabbath and Thursday evening. There is also a meeting held every Saturday evening at eight o'clock; it is intended for anxious inquirers. Some of the young men have commenced to go from house to house, holding prayer meetings.
